Her strength in leading teams and individuals to high performance results comes from a 24 year career in the retail industry and over 20 years with McDonalds Corporation where her corporate management positions included P&L accountability within international and domestic markets. Deborah has a talent for drawing leaders out of their comfort zone and helping them transform into their next level of performance using accelerated change techniques.
She partners with clients to create and implement business initiatives that profoundly improve bottom line results. A representative sample of her client’s success includes:
• Helping CEO of cluster of gas stations and convenience stores to develop the skills of his new leadership team in the areas of accountability, communication and profitability. The end result was an expansion of the organization’s market share through additional site acquisitions.
• Assisting a VP of Technology in telecommunications to enhance her executive and leadership presence. Through assessment feedback, candid dialogue and laser coaching, the leader was able to achieve goal of demonstrating value as a credible and respected member of the senior leadership team.
• Coaching four senior leadership executives at a manufacturing plant to execute aggressive sales goals through their teams. Using a combination of group and individual coaching techniques the plant leaders were successful in meeting sales expectations the following fiscal year after prior years of negative sales trends

• Supporting a Sales Executive in the transportation industry to increase her success as a newly promoted District Assistant General Manager. Worked with leader based on 360 feedback to improve perception of her leadership. Leader was able to improve her approach by demonstrating more collaborative communication behaviors

Deborah holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. Ms. Chima is a Nuero Linguistic Programming (NLP) certified Master Coach through the American Board of Nuero Linguistic Programming. Deborah attended the Joseph Business School for entrepreneurs and was awarded the Joseph Scholar designation in recognition of her high academic standing. She is certified on several leadership assessment and coaching instruments.
Deborah has co-authored the book, “Choose to Lead: Advice, Tools, and Strategies for Women, from Women.” She has published a workbook, “Creating Success Strategies at Work While Navigating Business Challenges.” Deborah was also a featured contributor in Choice, the magazine of professional coaching, with an article on the fundamentals of leadership coaching.
